Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities, limitations, and needs, tailoring treatment plans to facilitate recovery.
• Utilize a diverse range of therapeutic techniques—including strength training, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercise—to promote healing and enhance functional mobility.
• Regularly document patient progress, providing clear and concise updates to relevant stakeholders and adjusting treatment plans as needed to maximize outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about injury prevention, home exercise programs, and the benefits of physical therapy to encourage active participation in the rehabilitation process.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure cohesive care for every patient.
• Stay current with industry trends by attending educational workshops and engaging in professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with orthopedic patients recovering from a range of conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. Our clinic sees a diverse group of clients, from young athletes aiming for quick recovery to seniors seeking to maintain mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in the state of Florida.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with a variety of orthopedic conditions and treatments.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation practices.
• Exposure to multidisciplinary team practices in outpatient rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits
