Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary interviews and thorough mental health evaluations to establish a comprehensive understanding of each client’s needs.

• Develop individualized treatment and recovery plans that encompass the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate effective individual and group therapy sessions that encourage open communication and foster healing.
\n
• Regularly monitor and evaluate clients’ progress toward their therapeutic goals, adjusting treatment plans as needed to enhance outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to create integrated care plans that address medical and psychological needs.

• Document all interactions and treatment interventions accurately using electronic health record systems such as AVATAR.
\n
• Follow up on referrals and coordinate care with hospitals and other healthcare providers when necessary.
\n
• Assist clients’ family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges effectively.
\n
• Proactively identify behaviors that may impede recovery and apply therapeutic approaches to mitigate these challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clientele will encompass various demographics, including children, adolescents, adults, and families grappling with a myriad of mental health issues, addiction disorders, and co-occurring physical health concerns. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.
\n
• Proof of successful completion of exams such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear and effective engagement with clients and colleagues.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills accompanied by a genuinely sympathetic nature, essential for fostering therapeutic relationships.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years' experience working as a mental health counselor, with a track record of successful patient outcomes.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR.

• Experience with addiction disorders and comprehensive understanding of the interplay between mental health and physical health conditions.

• Knowledge of the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise.
