Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced Remote-Centered environment with variety in your work? The California Department of Insurance (CDI) is seeking a dynamic Legal Secretary to join the Regulatory and Legal Services Division.If this is you, then CDI may be the employer for you!
Under general direction of the Deputy General Counsel or Legal Support Supervisor I, the Legal Secretary performs the full range of legal secretarial and administrative functions in support of the Legal Branch. The Legal Secretary prepares a variety of legal correspondence, legal opinions, administrative hearing briefs, memoranda, reports and stock permits. Enters data into case systems, schedules meetings, maintains documents, copies and organizes exhibits and trial notebooks, prepares public records requests and regulation submissions with the Office of Administrative Law. Arranges and places order for legal services and performs clerical duties of similar nature. Effective July 1, 2025, the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025 and related Pay Differential 386. PLP 2025 requires employees to receive a reduction in pay in exchange for monthly hours of PLP 2025 leave credits.
