This is a full-time remote position, allowing counselors to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds in California, while offering flexibility in a supportive environment. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the potential for some evening shifts based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders, evaluating their needs, goals, and mental health status.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.

• Provide individual therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings regarding addiction.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions that promote peer support and shared learning among clients.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and addiction specialists to coordinate care and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.

• Provide crisis intervention and support, responding swiftly during substance-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families about addiction, available recovery strategies, and resources in the community.

• Maintain precise and confidential records in accordance with legal, ethical standards and established protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be individuals experiencing challenges associated with substance use disorders. Counselors will work with a diverse clientele, including adolescents, adults, and their families, promoting recovery tailored to their unique circumstances and cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within the state of California.

• Extensive knowledge of substance use disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Proven experience delivering both individual and group therapy within the context of addiction treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
