Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews and document case histories during initial consultations through the entire treatment process.

• Perform thorough evaluations of clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment planning.

• Create individualized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based techniques and modalities to drive positive client outcomes.

• Monitor and assess client progress throughout the course of treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to adapt to changes in client needs.

• Work in collaboration with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, medical doctors, and social workers, to develop cohesive intervention strategies.

• Follow up with healthcare providers for clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring seamless transitions and proper care continuity.

• Recognize and intervene proactively in addressing client behaviors that threaten recovery and wellbeing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid state licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW is required.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling, ideally in a telehealth setting.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR.

• Understanding of physical and emotional health co-morbidities, as well as experience working with clients with addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is a plus.

• In-depth knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects as prescribed by medical specialists.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional interpersonal capabilities that foster rapport with clients and colleagues.
