Work Environment

As a Full-Time Physical Therapist, you will work in our outpatient office located in Stafford, Virginia. The environment is collaborative and supportive, with an emphasis on teamwork and communication among healthcare professionals. Working hours are Monday through Friday, ensuring a robust work-life balance for our team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatments to prevent disabilities and relieve pain while restoring muscle function and enhancing client performance.
• Leverage advanced therapeutic techniques and tools to evaluate and address client needs according to prescribed treatment plans.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the appropriate implementation of patient care plans and provide guidance as needed.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' functional abilities through diagnostic tests and physical assessments.
• Make informed recommendations regarding home modifications to promote independent living for clients.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, providing motivation and instruction to clients for both manual and non-manual activities.
• Administer physical treatments such as traction, massage, and the use of physical agents for rehabilitation.
• Assess and appropriately fit clients with prosthetic and orthotic devices, recommending modifications when needed.
• Contribute to the development, review, and updates of the individualized care plan based on ongoing assessments.
• Document patient progress through clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, ensuring timely submission per agency protocols.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate holistic care focused on optimal patient outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with clients and their families, providing education on therapy practices and device utilization.
• Serve as a clinical resource, advising on the totality of client care and interacting with various team members as needed.
• Complete functional assessments regularly and adapt treatment plans based on client evaluations and available community resources.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities as directed to support the overall goals of Lifepoint Therapeutics.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on providing therapeutic services to a diverse patient population in an outpatient setting, including individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic pain conditions. Our clients vary in age and capabilities, requiring customized therapeutic strategies to achieve optimal recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure the highest level of clinical expertise.
• An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia, with a clean record devoid of sanctions or board proceedings, is essential.
• Proficiency in utilizing EMR software, particularly Web PT, to facilitate accurate and efficient clinical documentation.
• A demonstrated mastery of various manual therapy techniques and a talent for crafting effective exercise programs tailored to individual client needs.
• Current knowledge and application of physical therapy practices supported by recent research to enhance treatment efficacy.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting.
• Experience in geriatric care, orthopedic rehabilitation, or neurological therapy is highly valued.
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary collaboration within healthcare teams to aid comprehensive patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer competitive compensation within the range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, complemented by a robust benefits package that includes healthcare, dental, vision, and pharmacy coverage with affordable premiums for full-time team members.
