Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans focused on preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and restoring functional mobility based on the patient's specific needs.
• Conduct thorough assessments of each patient's level of function by performing diagnostic tests related to muscle, nerve, joint, and overall physical abilities.
• Oversee and collaborate with Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the effective implementation of treatment plans, while providing mentorship and guidance as needed.
• Regularly evaluate the home and community environments of patients to provide recommendations that enhance independence and overall quality of life.
• Administer various therapeutic modalities, including manual techniques, exercises, and treatment protocols involving physical agents.
• Complete administrative tasks such as documenting clinical records, updating care plans, and communicating changes in patient conditions to physicians and case managers.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing valuable insights into each patient's plan of care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
• Educate and instruct patients and their families on the use of therapeutic devices and techniques integral to their recovery journey.
• Ensure timely submission of documentation in compliance with organizational policies and standards, including payroll and clinical records.
• Stay accessible to Physical Therapy Assistants for consultation and guidance during the delivery of therapy services.
• Manage additional assignments as directed, supporting organizational goals and improving patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, ensuring precise and accurate documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience working in an outpatient clinic setting will be advantageous.
• Previous mentorship or supervisory roles with Physical Therapy Assistants is a plus.
• Experience with rehabilitative strategies for specific populations, such as athletes or elderly patients, is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
