Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to create individualized treatment plans addressing unique rehabilitation goals and needs.
• Maintain an appropriate patient load to ensure each patient receives adequate attention during therapy sessions.
• Demonstrate in-depth expertise in orthopedic outpatient therapy and apply evidence-based practices for effective outcomes.
• Utilize a variety of treatment modalities and advanced techniques to improve patient mobility while emphasizing non-surgical and medication-free alternatives.
• Formulate comprehensive care plans, integrating various therapeutic approaches tailored to patients' specific conditions.
• Motivate patients by setting realistic expectations and providing encouragement throughout their rehabilitation journeys.
• Continuously assess and monitor patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary for optimal recovery.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient treatments and outcomes, utilizing EMR systems such as WebPT for efficiency.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and rehabilitation specialists, to ensure comprehensive care for each patient.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with a diverse patient demographic that includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will employ your expertise to develop personalized treatment strategies that cater to the unique circumstances and rehabilitation goals of each patient.

Qualifications

• A completed Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, free from sanctions or board proceedings.
• Experience and mastery in various manual therapy techniques to apply during treatment sessions.
• Strong skills in developing and implementing effective exercise and rehabilitation programs.
• Proficiency in using EMR software, particularly WebPT, for effective patient documentation and record-keeping.
• In-depth knowledge of current physical therapy methodologies supported by the latest research.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2-3 years in an outpatient physical therapy setting is preferred, although new graduates with strong clinical internship experiences are encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with inter-professional teams effectively.
• Previous experience treating athletes or a background in sports medicine is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
