Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring optimal function based on each patient's diagnosis and specific needs.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the accurate delivery of prescribed therapeutic interventions.
• Perform thorough evaluations of patients' functional levels utilizing diagnostic and prognostic tests for muscles, nerves, joints, and overall functional abilities.
• Conduct initial assessments in the patient's home environment, providing recommendations that enhance their independence and quality of life.
• Administer various therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, traction, and modalities to manage pain and improve mobility.
• Evaluate and recommend orthotic and prosthetic devices, adjusting as necessary to fit patient requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive clinical documentation including evaluations, progress notes, care plans, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to case discussions and collaborative treatment planning that align with our mission to promote patient well-being.
• Effectively communicate with patients and their families regarding therapy goals, progress, and the use and care of therapeutic devices.
• Complete all orders and documentation in a timely manner, adhering to branch policies and regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist at Baylor Physical Therapy will primarily work with a diverse patient population, ranging from post-operative rehabilitation to chronic pain management. Understanding the unique challenges faced by each patient, you will design customized therapy approaches that address their specific needs, promoting functional mobility and overall health improvement.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current and valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Valid CPR certification and a good standing driving license with automobile insurance.
• A strong commitment to clinical excellence and integrity.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation or acute care setting.
• Demonstrated ability to use professional judgment in planning and administering patient care.
• Experience working within an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
