Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions, including detailed history reviews, manual assessments, and functional testing, to create individualized treatment plans.
• Effectively communicate findings and treatment strategies to patients and their families, ensuring their involvement in goal-setting and care planning.
• Implement treatment protocols tailored to each patient's needs, utilizing modalities and techniques appropriate for various conditions, while adapting as necessary for changing health scenarios.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health professionals, adjusting the plan of care as needed based on ongoing assessments and consultations.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation of patient progress, evaluations, and care plans, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and accreditation standards.
• Manage appointments effectively to optimize patient outcomes and adhere to productivity expectations, contributing to overall clinic efficiency.
• Engage in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote physical therapy services and cultivate relationships within the local health community.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain certification, enhance skills, and serve as a mentor to interns and junior staff.
• Ensure an exceptional customer experience through compassionate care and effective communication, responding flexibly to patient needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain issues. Your role will involve tailoring interventions to meet the unique challenges faced by each patient, promoting independence, strength, and overall wellness.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a valid license to practice in the state of Virginia.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association is required.
• A sincere commitment to learning and applying evidence-based practices in patient care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and empathize with patients.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
• Experience in outpatient orthopedics or sports rehabilitation will be an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
