The Physical Therapist will work onsite in our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

As a Full-Time Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations utilizing evidence-based assessment techniques.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs, focusing on functional goals and milestones.
• Continuously monitoring and reassessing patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, including SOAP notes and treatment plans, using the electronic health record system.
• Providing education to patients and their families about treatment protocols, rehabilitation methods, and anticipated challenges throughout the recovery process.
• Meeting established productivity metrics and contributing to organizational objectives while championing a customer-service-focused ethos.
• Collaborating with other therapy disciplines at TheraPlay to create integrated care plans for clients receiving multiple therapeutic services.
• Promoting the organization's values and mission, acting as an ambassador for our continuous commitment to client-centered care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve children ranging from infants to adolescents with various orthopedic, neurological, and developmental conditions. You will employ a range of therapeutic techniques suited to the developmental stages of your young patients, developing a strong rapport to encourage participation and engagement in therapy.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current and unrestricted licensure from the state Board of Physical Therapy.
• A strong willingness to conduct both in-person and telehealth evaluations and treatments when clinically appropriate.
• A passion for working with a diverse population, encompassing various ages, races, and backgrounds.
• The ability to adapt quickly to the dynamic needs of the children and families you serve, alongside a strong team-oriented work ethic.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in pediatric physical therapy, particularly those who have worked in multi-disciplinary rehabilitation settings, will be highly regarded. Exposure to electronic health record systems will also be beneficial for seamless documentation and communication.
