Work Environment

Located in Stafford, Virginia, our rehabilitation center offers an onsite work environment where collaboration and communication are key. The center is designed to create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for patients, featuring modern treatment rooms and rehabilitation technologies. The work schedule is from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and formulate personalized treatment plans that address individual needs and goals.
• Manage a focused patient caseload, providing dedicated time for therapy sessions to ensure effective treatment outcomes.
• Implement a range of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, and modality applications.
• Balance your approach by emphasizing non-invasive, evidence-based treatments to minimize reliance on medications.
• Motivate patients in their recovery journeys and facilitate wellness practices that enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of treatment sessions using EMR software, particularly WebPT, to ensure compliance and effective patient follow-up.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, to streamline patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with a diverse outpatient clientele, including athletes recuperating from sports injuries, individuals recovering from surgeries, and patients with chronic pain conditions. Your expertise will help guide them through rehabilitation programs tailored to their unique injuries or health challenges.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia, without any history of sanctions or board proceedings, is mandatory.
• Proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and a deep understanding of post-rehabilitation protocols.
• Strong ability to develop effective and engaging exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Comfortable utilizing EMR software for patient documentation, particularly with experience in WebPT.
• Possess current knowledge of advanced physical therapy practices supported by clinical research.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic therapy is highly valued.
• Demonstrated effective communication and relational skills to foster strong patient connections.
• A history of involvement in team-based care and collaborative practices within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Previous experience or certifications related to sports medicine is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
