Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients, including the review of medical history and performance of specific assessments to determine their rehabilitation needs.

• Explain evaluation findings and collaboratively develop a treatment plan in conjunction with patients and their families, ensuring alignment with patient goals.

• Proficiently implement treatment protocols tailored to each patient based on initial evaluations and their evolving health condition.

• Consult with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to adapt treatment plans as necessary and address any changes requiring additional medical or rehabilitative consultations.

• Oversee discharge planning and follow-up care by accurately documenting patient interactions and treatment outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.

• Effectively manage time and productivity by maintaining an accurate schedule, being punctual for meetings, and participating actively in hospital and community marketing initiatives.

• Contribute proactively to department goals and ensure compliance with governmental regulations and accreditation standards.

• Pursue ongoing education and serve as a clinical instructor for local physical therapy students, fostering the next generation of rehabilitation professionals.

• Enhance patient experience by promoting flexible access to care and engaging in community initiatives to remove barriers to healthcare.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, chronic pain, and neurological conditions. Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current state licensure as required for practice in Virginia.

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
