Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Kaiser Physical Therapy, your daily tasks will include:

• Directing the physical therapy treatment plan focused on preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function in accordance with the individualized care plans.
• Supervising and mentoring physical therapy assistants to ensure effective implementation of therapy protocols.
• Assessing patients' functional abilities using diagnostic and prognostic tests, then utilizing those evaluations to inform effective treatment strategies.
• Conducting home evaluations as needed and recommending modifications to promote client independence.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, both manual and non-manual, while motivating clients to engage actively in their rehabilitation.
• Applying various treatment modalities such as traction, massage, and physical agents to address specific patient needs.
• Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to review and update care plans, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated services for our clients.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, aligning with necessary compliance standards.
• Engaging with patients and their families, providing education on therapy devices and overall programs to enhance their understanding and involvement in their care.
• Participating actively in case conferences, contributing insights for a holistic approach to patient treatment.
• Completing additional assignments and duties as required to support the organizational aims and client goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or undergoing rehabilitation for sports injuries, among other needs. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid physical therapy license in the State of Virginia, with no disciplinary actions.
• Current CPR certification to ensure safety standards are met during patient interactions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
