Work Environment

This position operates in a safe and therapeutic remote setting, allowing for flexible work hours including evenings and weekends to accommodate the varying needs of our clients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, social workers, and peer counselors, all focused on delivering integrated care tailored to individual treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to understand clients' substance abuse history and any underlying mental health issues against the backdrops of their personal experiences.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that not only address addiction but also incorporate strategies for managing co-occurring mental health conditions, ensuring holistic care tailored to the client's needs.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing that encourage client engagement and motivation toward recovery.
• Collaborate effectively with team members including psychologists, social workers, and medical staff to foster integrated treatment approaches, sharing insights and updates to refine each client's care strategy.
• Provide education and support to clients' families, ensuring they understand the recovery process and their role in encouraging positive changes.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation, adhering to all regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and facilitate continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse client base, including adults who are grappling with substance dependence and may present with co-occurring psychological issues such as anxiety, depression, or trauma. Our approach emphasizes respect and empathy, fostering a non-judgmental environment that encourages clients to express their challenges and hopes openly.

Qualifications

• A valid state-issued license as LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, LSCSW , or PsyD .
• A master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience or specialized training in addiction counseling, underscored by a thorough understanding of substance use disorders.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic methods specific to substance abuse treatment and mental health integration.
• Strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to motivate clients through challenging recovery processes.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, enhancing collaboration within a multidisciplinary environment.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a substance abuse treatment setting, ideally with a focus on both individual and group therapy.
• Experience in creating and leading educational workshops or family support groups related to substance use recovery.
• Expertise in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and treatment tracking.
