Although primarily remote, our counselors maintain ties with the outpatient office as needed for support and professional collaboration. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health evaluations and interviews to assess clients’ needs and conditions.

• Developing personalized treatment plans that include evidence-based interventions tailored to individuals, couples, and families.
\n
• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing various mental health issues.

• Tracking and documenting client progress from the initial consultation through to the conclusion of treatment, ensuring continuity of care.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to establish holistic intervention strategies.

• Identifying potential barriers to treatment and implementing preventive measures to facilitate clients' recovery journeys.
\n
• Providing support and counseling to family members and caregivers to further assist in managing mental health challenges.

• Staying updated with best practices and advancements in psychotherapy and mental health treatments.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients range from children to adults dealing with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and addiction. You will utilize your skills to deliver empathetic, client-centered care tailored to the unique needs of each individual or family unit. By focusing on both mental and emotional health, you play a crucial role in fostering recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong foundation in mental health counseling principles and practices.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, including AVATAR, to document client interactions and treatment plans effectively.

• Comprehensive understanding of co-occurring disorders and their impacts on mental health.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of three years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling setting.

• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive client care.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and ethical standards.

• In-depth knowledge of pharmacological interventions and their implications for mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
