Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial mental health assessments, interviewing clients and documenting case histories to comprehend their unique challenges.

• Design, implement, and review tailored treatment plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring each plan aligns with the clients' specific needs and therapy goals.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques and interventions that foster a safe space for healing.

• Monitor clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, making adjustments to their therapeutic plans as necessary.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate interventions, ensuring all aspects of a client’s health and wellbeing are considered in care plans.

• Follow up on clients receiving inpatient treatment by communicating effectively with attending physicians and consulting psychiatrists.

• Help identify behaviors or barriers that hinder recovery and work to establish strategies for overcoming these obstacles.

• Support family members and caregivers in understanding mental health challenges, providing them with the necessary resources and strategies to assist their loved ones.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
\n
• Successful passage of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proficient understanding of electronic health record systems, ideally experience with AVATAR.
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, ensuring effective interaction with clients and professionals alike.
\n
• Empathetic and supportive personality, with a focus on building strong therapeutic relationships.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in mental health counseling with knowledge of managing addiction disorders and co-occurring conditions.

• Familiarity with best practices as established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• A comprehensive understanding of psychopharmacology as it relates to therapeutic practice.
