Take your physical therapy expertise to a rewarding setting supporting students aged 12-21 in a specialized educational environment near Arlington, VA. This contract opportunity offers meaningful part-time hours, focusing on ensuring each student receives the compensatory time they’re owed. Key Qualifications & Experiences:

• Valid and current license to practice as a Physical Therapist
• Experience providing PT services in a school-based setting strongly preferred
• Comfort working with adolescent and young adult populations (ages 12-21)
• Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized interventions tailored to each student’s goals
• Strong communication skills and collaborative attitude, working well with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy services to students as indicated by their IEPs, focused on maximizing participation in school and daily life
• Conduct thorough assessments, maintain accurate documentation, and monitor progress towards goals
• Provide direct therapy, develop home programs, and train staff as necessary for carryover
• Ensure compliance with compensatory time owed for each student
• Consult and collaborate with special education staff, families, and other therapists to support integrated care
• Adapt and modify activities and environments to enable student access and achievement
