Our team members are encouraged to maintain a healthy work-life balance, with operational hours spanning Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, occasionally requiring flexibility to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ unique experiences and formulate effective treatment plans tailored to their individual needs.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions using modalities appropriate for each patient's background, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or narrative therapy.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at empowering patients to navigate their mental health challenges, develop resilience, and achieve personal goals.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to guarantee comprehensive and well-coordinated care for every patient.

• Provide crisis intervention services promptly during mental health emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and local community resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards through our electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions focused on improving cultural competency within the practice.

• Stay informed about the latest research, best practices in mental health treatment, and community needs to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

At Sterling Counseling Services, you will primarily support a diverse patient population, including individuals from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds, as well as those from the LGBTQ+ community. Your role will emphasize cultural awareness and sensitivity, allowing you to recognize how diverse life experiences shape mental health. Engaging with patients from immigrant populations will require an understanding of unique stressors they might face, enabling you to deliver truly meaningful and effective care.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Substantial knowledge of various mental health disorders along with proven evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Demonstrated experience providing individual, family, and group therapy while utilizing culturally responsive methods.

Compensation and Benefits\n
