Key Responsibilities\n

• Serve as a clinician, engaging directly with assigned students both virtually and in-person, to assess and address symptoms of mental illness and emotional disorders.

• Establish trusting relationships with students, families, and school staff to ensure effective communication and holistic care.
\n
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review student progress, align treatment goals, and share effective strategies.
\n
• Conduct evidence-based screenings and assessments to identify students’ behavioral health needs, and implement individualized care plans accordingly.
\n
• Provide brief therapeutic services, including individual, group, and family therapy, focusing on presenting issues as identified by clients.
\n
• Monitor and document case progress, ensuring compliance with reporting standards and timely submission of documentation.
\n
• Participate in crisis interventions, providing immediate support and developing strategies to enhance the safety and well-being of students.
\n
• Collaborate with external agencies and families to facilitate access to additional resources and services as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on school-aged children and adolescents who display symptoms of major mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and behavioral challenges. You will understand and address the unique developmental needs of each child, working to empower them to overcome obstacles in both their academic and personal lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia.

• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in an accessible manner.

• Proficiency in ethical standards and best practices within the realm of social work.

• Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in culturally diverse environments, respecting a variety of traditions and beliefs.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
