Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a dynamic operating room environment that upholds professional nursing standards and best practices. This role emphasizes relationship-based care and adherence to ethical guidelines, regulatory standards, and evidence-based nursing processes.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term objectives.
• Apply specialized knowledge and technical skills to deliver high-quality patient care and make informed patient care assignments based on acuity and expertise.
• Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning by attending educational sessions and integrating new practices to enhance cost efficiency and patient outcomes.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, fostering respectful and collaborative relationships with patients, families, healthcare providers, and colleagues.
• Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment by adhering to safety protocols, noise reduction, and supporting healthcare students and their programs.
• Engage in proactive safety measures, including reporting near misses and following HIPAA, Just Culture, and national safety standards.
• Promote professional growth through leadership opportunities, certifications, advanced education, and participation in shared governance and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Encourage teamwork by motivating and mentoring peers, fostering trust, cooperation, and a positive work culture.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent experience with at least five years of acute care nursing if from a non-accredited program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is acceptable.
• Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications as required.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board.

This position offers day and evening shifts with a full-time schedule. The role is based in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
