Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a setting that champions best practices and exceptional customer service. This role fosters relationship-based care while upholding professional nursing standards. Nursing care is guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, relevant Nurse Practice Acts, the Nursing Process, and regulatory standards. Acute care departments include Medical, Surgical, Emergency, Intensive Care, Childbirth, Pediatric, Operating Room, Perianesthesia, Endoscopy/GI, and Cardiac Cath Lab units.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term objectives.
• Stay current with product and practice changes through ongoing education, applying knowledge to promote cost-effective care.
• Demonstrate expertise by making appropriate patient care assignments based on acuity and technical needs.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program, or if not accredited, a minimum of five years acute care nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in accelerated MSN programs accepted.
• Area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications to be obtained and maintained upon hire.

Licensure:

• Current active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board.

Work Shift: Night shift (3rd shift), full-time, 36 hours per week.

This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
