Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and screenings to understand clients' substance abuse histories and mental health treatment needs.

• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that address addiction as well as co-occurring mental health issues, ensuring a holistic approach to care.

• Facilitating individual therapy sessions and leading group therapy discussions, employing evidence-based methodologies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).

• Collaborating closely with a team comprising psychiatrists, nurses, and support staff to deliver comprehensive and cohesive client care.

• Educating clients' families about addiction and mental health issues, encouraging their participation in the recovery process.

• Keeping detailed, accurate, and confidential client records to comply with HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adults experiencing substance use disorders, often alongside co-occurring mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression. Our clinic serves a diverse population, which may include individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds, thus requiring an inclusive and empathetic therapeutic approach tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

• Demonstrated knowledge of addiction counseling and experience in substance abuse treatment methodologies.
