Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide direct clinical services to students experiencing symptoms of major mental health illnesses and severe emotional disorders, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for engagement.

• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the students, families, and multidisciplinary teams, enhancing overall treatment effectiveness.
\n
• Conduct evidence-based assessments and screenings to gain an understanding of individual client needs, followed by appropriate interventions or referrals for further evaluation, if needed.
\n
• Engage in crisis intervention strategies when necessary, including immediate assessment, stabilization, and follow-up support to ensure student safety.
\n
• Manage a diverse caseload, offering therapy options that range from individual and group therapy to family therapy, with a strong focus on decision-making empowerment.
\n
• Maintain compliance with organizational guidelines and ethical standards set out by relevant professional bodies, reflecting a commitment to integrity and excellence in practice.

• Participate actively in team meetings to develop collaborative strategies for improving mental health services and client outcomes.
\n
• Ensure the timely and accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment progress according to organizational policies.
\n
• Engage with community resources to facilitate access to supplemental services that can support students beyond clinical care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position will focus on addressing the mental health needs of school-aged children and adolescents who face challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or behavioral issues. You will work closely with school administrators, teachers, and parents to foster a supportive network that addresses the holistic needs of each student, contributing significantly to their emotional well-being and academic success.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is required.

• Possession of an active LCSW license in the state of Texas is mandatory.
\n
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients, families, and community stakeholders.

• Proven organizational skills and demonstrated capacity to manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks to meet the needs of students.

• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, showing cultural competence and sensitivity to varying backgrounds and experiences.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is strongly preferred, especially in the fields of school or child and adolescent mental health.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable and may enhance service delivery for our diverse client base.
