About This Role The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse responsible for providing safe, competent quality care to a designated group of patients based on nursing theory and research. Highlights Pay: $64.85/hour Location: New York, NY Facility: Mount Sinai Hospital Department/Unit: GP 9 East GI-CC - MSH Schedule: Part-Time, Night shift What You'll Do Deliver patient care using the nursing process based on theory, research, and evidence-based practice. Assess and evaluate patient care needs applying critical thinking skills. Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team on the plan of care. Prioritize patient care aspects including teaching, rounding, and planning after hospital care. Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care and health promotion. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing. Role model the tenets of Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care. Initiate service recovery for patients and family members with concerns. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required, Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable if matriculated in a BSN program. Experience: Relevant clinical competence in assigned nursing practice area; new graduates must have current knowledge of the nursing process.
