An inpatient pharmacist role is available in Philadelphia, PA, offering day and evening shifts. This position involves reviewing and dispensing medication orders to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate therapy. The pharmacist will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, playing a vital role in medication safety, clinical review, and discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medication orders from physicians and advanced practice providers for accuracy regarding drug choice, dosage, frequency, and route
• Assess patient allergies, medical history, potential drug interactions, and lab results before dispensing medications
• Dispense medications following hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Provide drug information and clinical support to healthcare team members
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and students to ensure correct medication preparation
• Support inventory control and medication management activities
• Collaborate with healthcare providers on patient care continuity and discharge planning

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy is required; PharmD is preferred
• Minimum of 1 year hospital pharmacy experience or APPE experience in a clinical/hospital setting preferred
• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License is required
• BLS certification is preferred
