Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to document patients' mental health histories and initial evaluations.

• Perform detailed assessments of clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to inform treatment strategies.

• Design personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, and families, integrating evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate engaging individual therapy sessions and dynamic group therapy discussions to promote shared experiences and growth.

• Continuously monitor and assess client progress through regular follow-ups and adapting treatment plans as necessary.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including other mental health specialists, physicians, and nurses, to enhance client support.

• Assist in coordinating referrals to other services or specialists when additional supports are required.

• Guide and support family members and caregivers in managing mental health challenges within the home environment.

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records using systems like AVATAR to track client interactions and outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Nevada.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated expertise as a practicing mental health counselor, showcasing a robust understanding of therapeutic techniques.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, with strong organizational skills.

• Adept understanding of clinical and physical health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.

• Knowledge of best practices as per the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) standards.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, complemented by strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor.

Union Family Counseling Center offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to USD 100,000, commensurate with experience.
