Business Development Specialist - Private Equity/M&A

Our client, a national law firm, is seeking a Business Development Specialist to support its Private Equity and M&A practices. The position is broad and attorney-facing, with responsibility for pitches and proposals, business development materials, market research, directory submissions and client-development initiatives. The position may be based in New York or Boston and offers a hybrid work arrangement. Responsibilities Prepare pitches, proposals and responses to RFPs, including drafting and editing content. Develop and maintain presentations, experience lists, attorney biographies and other business development materials. Coordinate legal directory and award submissions, working with attorneys and business development leadership to gather and refine information. Conduct research on clients, prospective clients, industries and competitors in support of business development opportunities. Track client opportunities, pitches and outcomes within the firm’s CRM. Monitor significant transactions, client developments and practice news. Support client events, webinars and sponsorships, including program materials, speaker coordination, attendee tracking and follow-up. Work closely with attorneys and colleagues across business development, research, communications and technology. Qualifications At least two years of business development or marketing experience within a law firm. Experience preparing pitches, proposals, RFP responses or other client-facing materials. Strong writing, editing, proofreading and research skills. Ability to work directly with attorneys and business professionals. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-through. Ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities. Experience with transactional practices, legal directory submissions or CRM systems is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr J.
