Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations while ensuring communication and collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Perform procedures and minor surgical interventions, such as suturing and splinting, under the guidance of attending physicians.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up care per hospital protocols.
• Provide patient education on a range of medical conditions, discussing treatment options and lifestyle modifications to enhance overall wellness and promote disease prevention.
• Respond to urgent medical needs and prioritize care based on patient presentation, ensuring timely interventions to improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse array of patients, ranging from children to adults, presenting with various acute illnesses and injuries. Your ability to quickly assess and respond to urgent medical issues will significantly contribute to enhancing patient satisfaction and care outcomes.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Strong clinical skills with the capability to work independently within your scope of practice, as well as collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to compassionate patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience in an urgent care or emergency department setting is preferred, but we welcome candidates with relevant backgrounds in healthcare who demonstrate the necessary clinical competencies and a passion for patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
