What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality care to pediatric ICU patients with diagnoses such as MS, DKA, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, and post-op neuro and ortho patients
• Titrate medications including pressors, insulin, heparin, sedation, and pain medications
• Collect peripheral blood draws; manage drains, wound vacs, and wound care
• Titrate vasopressors, insulin, heparin, and sedation agents under established protocols
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including hospitalists, intensivists, respiratory therapists, and educators
• Follow hospital protocols and procedures using Meditech Expanse EMR
• Participate in weekend rotations and holiday coverage, working 4 days one week and 3 days the next (mandatory minimum 2/3 holidays)
• Securely perform phlebotomy and manage patient care documentation

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
• Minimum 2 years PICU experience; cross-trained and able to float to Adult ICU and Med/Tele preferred
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; NRP preferred
• Proficiency in PIV insertion, CVL management, telemetry, titration of critical medications, and wound care
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
