Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, tech-savvy Accounting Manager based in Puerto Rico to oversee full-cycle financial operations for a diverse portfolio of small startup companies. Our entities span multiple high-growth industries including digital marketing, construction management, real estate, insurance brokerage, and tax services.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing multi-entity accounting structures, handling intercompany transactions, and adapting to different business models. You must thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced startup environment and be comfortable learning and navigating modern cloud ERP systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities.

• Manage day-to-day general ledger activities, month-end closing, and financial reporting across a portfolio of distinct startup entities.
• Maintain financial data integrity across entities using our cloud ERP platform (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central), utilizing dimensions to manage intercompany transactions, allocations, and consolidations.
• Adapt to diverse revenue recognition and compliance needs, navigating everything from progress billings in construction management to commission tracking in insurance brokerage.
• Prepare clear monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packages (P&L, Balance Sheet) for individual startup leadership teams.
• Build, document, and scale repeatable workflows, automated reporting, and basic internal controls.
• Maintain tax-ready books and compile documentation for external CPAs, handling corporate filings across the various entities.

Education and Experience

• 4+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years successfully managing books for multiple entities or corporate clients simultaneously (e.g., outsourced accounting or local CPA firm experience).
• High tech-literacy with experience in mid-market or enterprise cloud accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, Xero). Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a major plus but not required-we will train the right person.
• Exposure to or understanding of accounting nuances in at least two of our core sectors (e.g., service-based digital marketing vs. project-based construction/real estate).
