Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison for families, ensuring transparent communication and delivering empathetic support throughout the therapy process.
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions, employing evidence-based practices such as Attachment-Based Family Therapy during individual, family, and group sessions.
• Conduct Family Orientations and Welcome Presentations, introducing families to our therapeutic philosophy and available resources.
• Detail comprehensive documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress updates, group therapy notes, contact records, and discharge summaries, adhering to established clinical standards.
• Utilize tools such as Microsoft Word and Outlook alongside EMR systems for accurate data entry and management of therapy-related documentation.
• Participate in weekly treatment and staff meetings, receive clinical supervision, and engage in continuous improvement of therapeutic techniques.
• Manage your own scheduling effectively to meet client needs and fulfill role responsibilities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on providing therapy for adolescents and young adults dealing with a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution; current enrollment in a Doctorate program is acceptable.
• Must be board registered (e.g., APCC, LAPC, ASW, AMFT, MHCA) in the state of California, the location from which services are provided.
• Demonstrated experience in individual, group, or family therapy settings, particularly with adolescents and young adults.

Preferred Experience

• Proficiency in treatment approaches that address mental health issues, substance abuse, eating disorders, or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.
• Previous experience within a remote therapy or telehealth setting is a plus, showcasing adaptability to current healthcare trends.
