Work Environment

This is a fully remote position, granting mental health professionals substantial flexibility in their work environment. Counselors can choose their own business hours, whether mornings, evenings, or weekends, depending on what works best for their lifestyle and their clients' needs. Our outpatient office environment is designed to facilitate effective virtual therapy sessions, enabling the delivery of care without the constraints often associated with traditional practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients via video conferencing platforms, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for exploration and healing.
• Perform comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate client needs and initiate personalized treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based practices, especially Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to guide therapeutic sessions and foster client growth.
• Document session outcomes, treatment progress, and adjust plans as needed, upholding best practices in clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and maximize positive patient outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including training opportunities and peer supervision, to continuously enhance clinical skills.
• Participate in team meetings to share insights, discuss challenges, and contribute to the overall improvement of therapeutic methodologies within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The counselors at Tenet Mental Healthcare primarily work with a diverse range of individuals facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress management. Our focus also extends to delivering mental health support to students within the educational framework, where sessions are often funded by schools, allowing therapists to concentrate entirely on therapy rather than administrative issues like billing insurance.

Qualifications

• A master’s level degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure in the state of California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or an equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of two years of recognized experience providing clinical psychotherapy, particularly with adult clients.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic techniques, especially CBT and other recognized practices.
• Competence in conducting comprehensive intake evaluations and creating effective treatment strategies tailored to individual client needs.
• Strong organizational skills, including proficiency in the documentation of patient sessions and treatment progress.
• A clean professional record without disciplinary action by any licensing board.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, Tenet Mental Healthcare offers a sign-on bonus to newly hired counselors and various benefits, including:
