Licensed Mental Health Counselor (Remote, Full-Time) - LMFT, LPCC, LCSW

Position Overview

Alvita Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote outpatient team in San Francisco, California. In this full-time position, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients by assessing their mental health, crafting tailored therapeutic interventions, and guiding them towards improved health and well-being. You will primarily interact with clients who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and eating disorders, helping them develop coping strategies for lasting change.

Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing counselors to connect with clients through our state-of-the-art telehealth platform from the comfort of their home office. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs, including intake evaluations, progress reviews, and diagnostic screenings.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that align with each client’s unique circumstances and therapeutic goals, integrating evidence-based methodologies.
• Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to client preferences.
• Monitor client progress through regular check-ins and documentation in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards.
• Provide referrals to ancillary healthcare providers as necessary, ensuring comprehensive care and coordination.
• Engage in crisis intervention as needed, employing established techniques to maintain client safety and support immediate needs.
• Stay current with best practices, attend staff meetings, and participate in training opportunities, contributing to a culture of continuous learning.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your client roster will reflect a diverse group, including adults and adolescents who may be facing a variety of challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance use. Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health counseling setting.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment strategies, and cultural competence in therapeutic practices.
• Strong skills in conducting individual and group therapy, employing culturally responsive methodologies.
• Excellent crisis intervention skills with the ability to effective manage high-stress situations.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing rapport with a variety of clients.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and related technology.
• A commitment to maintaining ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional boundaries in all interactions.
• The ability to work cohesively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Preferred Experience

Experience in teletherapy and familiarity with virtual counseling tools are highly desirable. This role will benefit from candidates who have a background in specific therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care. Additionally, experience in group facilitation will enhance our programs focused on peer support and community building.

Compensation and Benefits
