Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor at Sunshine Counseling Center, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health needs and personal histories.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Providing individual therapy sessions, utilizing various techniques adapted to each client's unique circumstances.
• Setting and monitoring therapeutic goals to evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans when necessary.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with ethical standards and clinic policies.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and stay current with best practices in mental health care.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A current and valid state license in one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to connect empathetically with clients.
• A strong commitment to maintaining a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a remote work environment.

Preferred Experience

While not required, prior experience in teletherapy or working within a community health setting is preferred. Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and various therapeutic modalities will set you apart as a candidate.
