Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to connect with clients via our secure telehealth platform from the comfort of your own space. However, you also have the opportunity to work from our outpatient office in Fullerton if you prefer an in-person setting. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments for new clients to identify their unique mental health needs and create individualized treatment plans that are both appropriate and actionable.
• Facilitate one-on-one therapy sessions using a variety of therapeutic techniques, tracking the progress of clients over time.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document sessions, assessments, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with all required standards and regulations.
• Develop and provide clients with effective coping strategies and resources, often incorporating mindfulness practices, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and other therapeutic methodologies tailored to individual needs.
• Continuously evaluate and adjust treatment plans based on clients’ progress and feedback, remaining flexible to their changing needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve are diverse, encompassing various demographics and backgrounds. You will work with individuals experiencing anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related issues, and substance use disorders. By employing culturally responsive therapy approaches, you will ensure that care is personalized, affirming, and respectful of each client's unique identity and experiences. Your role is critical in building rapport, maintaining trust, and ensuring that clients feel heard and understood throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is essential.
• A current and valid license to practice in California as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC.
• At least two years of direct counseling experience, demonstrating a track record of effective client interaction and treatment.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and strong communication skills to facilitate effective therapy.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development, including staying updated on current best practices in mental health care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in telehealth or remote counseling, especially in managing client relationships in a digital environment.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care approaches.
• Experience working with diverse populations, understanding various cultural contexts and their impact on mental health.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
