Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will offer therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Facilitating therapy sessions with couples as well as individual sessions to delve into personal issues affecting relationships.
• Using evidence-based practices to address a wide range of challenges, including but not limited to issues of grief, loss, family conflict, and communication barriers.
• Maintaining detailed documentation of client progress and evolving needs, ensuring compliance with professional standards and state regulations.
• Collaborating with colleagues to enhance treatment efficacy, sharing insights and strategies that can improve patient outcomes.
• Participating in ongoing training and supervision to further your professional development and expertise in marriage and family therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will focus on working with a broad spectrum of patients, including:

• Individuals dealing with issues stemming from alcohol and substance abuse.
• Families experiencing physical and psychological abuse dynamics.
• Clients navigating grief and loss, with a focus on healthy coping mechanisms.
• Couples and families managing conflicts, separation, adjusting to divorce or blended family scenarios.
• Adolescents and young adults needing support for developmental transitions and personal challenges.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, essential for building rapport with clients and fostering a safe therapeutic environment.
• A nonjudgmental approach, coupled with empathy and understanding toward diverse experiences and struggles.

Preferred Experience
