The Beacon Institute for Mental Health is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our expanding team. Key Responsibilities

• Provide effective individual, couples, and family therapy in a structured outpatient setting.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to gather vital information about clients' histories and current challenges, leading to the development of tailored treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and narrative therapy to guide your sessions.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
• Engage in regular collaboration with other health care providers involved in your clients’ care, participating actively in case consultations and team meetings.
• Support and guide clients through a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and significant life transitions.
• Participate in continuous education and training initiatives aimed at enhancing personal and professional growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LMFT at The Beacon Institute, you will primarily work with diverse clients facing complex mental health issues. Your caseload may include individuals of various age groups, and families seeking support for relational dynamics. Our community-oriented approach serves to strengthen the mental health of families and individuals who often experience social, economic, or cultural barriers.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required.
• Current and active LMFT license in California is mandatory.
• At least two years of clinical experience in outpatient, community mental health, or private practice settings.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on cultural competence, are essential to effectively engage with a diverse clientele.

Preferred Experience

• Experience and comfort utilizing electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms to facilitate remote therapy sessions.
• Background in working with specialized populations, such as children, adolescents, or LGBTQ+ individuals, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and integrative therapeutic techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

The Beacon Institute offers a competitive salary range of $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
