Remote Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) - Full-Time Position

Position Overview

The Root Center for Advanced Recovery is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team on a full-time basis. This remote position offers an opportunity to engage deeply with patients coping with substance abuse, as well as those facing co-occurring mental health disorders. Key Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities will be diverse and impactful, including:

• Providing individual, family, and group therapy sessions, leveraging evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s needs.
• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of emotional and behavioral problems, which may arise due to substance abuse or mental health challenges.
• Developing, implementing, and updating individualized treatment plans that consider each client’s unique circumstances, strengths, and therapeutic goals.
• Engaging in crisis intervention strategies and providing therapeutic support during critical situations to ensure client safety and well-being.
• Actively participating in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team process to enhance and coordinate treatment for clients, contributing your expertise to overall care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with diverse populations, including individuals, couples, and families, who are navigating the complexities of addiction and mental health issues. This may involve addressing trauma, relationship conflicts, and developing coping strategies to enhance emotional resilience. Qualifications

We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current and active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in a clinical setting working with individuals, couples, and families.
• Strong clinical skills, particularly in psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention techniques, and collaborative counseling.
• A deep understanding of life-span development and the dynamics of family systems.

Preferred Experience

While the essential qualifications are critical, we prefer candidates who have additional experience in substance abuse treatment, familiarity with integrated care models, and the ability to work with diverse populations. Proficiency in telehealth practices and virtual therapy tools will also be advantageous in delivering effective treatment in our remote setting.

Compensation and Benefits
