Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth preliminary interviews to assess clients’ mental and emotional health, creating detailed documentation that tracks progress from initial consultation to treatment completion.

• Evaluate the psychological needs of clients by utilizing recognized methodologies and developing effective, personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions utilizing therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based techniques.

• Monitor and document client progress consistently, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure alignment with therapeutic goals.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with other health professionals, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and social workers to create integrated care plans that reflect a holistic approach to mental health.

• Provide necessary follow-up with healthcare providers for clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care during transitions.

• Assist clients and their families in identifying obstacles to recovery and developing strategies to overcome these challenges.

• Stay informed about best practices in mental health counseling and implement new strategies to enhance treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patients encompass a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences, including individuals coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction disorders, and interpersonal conflicts. You will be engaging with clients of all ages, providing support that respects their unique perspectives and promotes resilience. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or equivalent certification recognized in California.

• Evidence of successful completion of the NCE and/or NCMHCE.
\n
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to facilitate documentation and care coordination.

• Strong understanding of the interplay between physical health, emotional wellness, and addiction, with a commitment to holistic care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience delivering mental health counseling in a clinical or outpatient setting.

• Proficient in utilizing therapeutic interventions and models aligned with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) standards.
