Active Living Orthopedic Facility is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our onsite, full-time team in Roanoke, Virginia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enabling patients to restore and improve their range of motion while enhancing their overall quality of life. You will work closely with individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions to provide personalized treatment plans, including rehabilitation, prevention, and patient education.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and limitations, establishing tailored treatment goals in collaboration with each individual.
• Manage a patient caseload at a rate of one patient per hour, allowing for focused, individualized care.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to design and implement comprehensive care plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques.
• Provide high-quality treatment sessions, utilizing manual therapy techniques and modalities to promote recovery.
• Encourage patients, reducing their reliance on medications and exploring alternatives to surgical interventions.
• Design fitness and wellness programs tailored to the specific needs and preferences of each client.
• Monitor and document the progress of patients through precise charting and communication, using EMR software like WebPT to enhance productivity.
• Motivate and educate patients on healthy lifestyles, encompassing strength training, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Engage in regular collaboration and consultation with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary based on patients' progress and needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on patients dealing with orthopedic injuries and conditions. The facility serves a diverse community, from athletes recovering from sports injuries to post-surgical rehabilitation patients of varying ages. Understanding and empathizing with each patient's unique challenges and goals is essential for providing effective therapy and support, aiding them in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist is mandatory, along with a clean professional record with no disciplinary actions.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a solid understanding of exercise protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and independently, promoting a collaborative approach to patient care.
• Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, is essential for documenting patient progress and treatment interventions.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting, with a proven track record of successful patient outcomes.
• Knowledge of current trends in orthopedic rehabilitation and recovery methodologies.
• Experience with diverse patient populations and conditions, enhancing your ability to tailor treatments effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges between USD 100,000 and 125,000 annually , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
