Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A dedicated Special Education Teacher is sought for a contract role serving middle school students with mild to moderate needs. This full-time position runs from August 13, 2026, through June 3, 2027, with scheduled hours Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM. The caseload is comprised of 12 students within a self-contained classroom environment.

Ideal candidates will bring collaborative energy and a commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments. You will play a vital role in supporting student growth and development across all subject areas.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid license in Special Education or eligibility for licensure during the contract period
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Background working with middle school students in resource, self-contained, or intensive needs environments
• Skilled in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction to support diverse learning styles and needs
• Experience managing a classroom and supporting students with behavioral, academic, and social-emotional needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities in a self-contained setting
• Create supportive classroom routines that foster student engagement and respect
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to ensure students’ academic and social success
• Collect data, monitor progress, and update IEPs in partnership with families and the educational team
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to support student growth
• Participate in relevant training sessions and staff meetings
