Special Education Teacher - Norlina, North Carolina

Bring your expertise in special education to a dedicated Pre-K setting for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. As a full-time educator, you'll work Monday to Friday from 7:15am to 3:15pm, providing instruction and individualized support to 13 pre-K students with mild to moderate needs. Your work will be integral to fostering a positive and inclusive early learning experience, helping each student achieve milestones and confidence.


Qualifications & Experience:

• Hold a valid Special Education teaching certification
• Prior experience working with pre-K or early childhood special education populations, especially children with mild to moderate disabilities
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Familiarity with early intervention strategies and classroom modifications
• Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, related services staff, and families
• Must be able to complete fingerprinting requirements for Pre-K classroom clearance

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver tailored instruction, adapting lessons for individual student needs
• Write, implement, and maintain IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Track student progress and provide regular updates to families and team members
• Foster a safe, nurturing classroom environment conducive to each child's learning
• Communicate proactively with colleagues and parents to support student success
