Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health to determine needs and tailor individualized treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic practices through methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other modalities.

• Provide ongoing therapy sessions for individuals, families, and groups, fostering a safe and therapeutic environment.

• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Offer compassionate crisis intervention services for clients facing emergencies, collaborating closely with emergency services when needed.

• Maintain detailed and confidential client records, documenting all interactions in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and share insights for improved patient outcomes.

• Engage in continuous professional development through training and supervision opportunities to remain informed about the latest mental health treatments.

• Uphold the ethical guidelines and standards set forth by relevant licensing boards and professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor will primarily focus on serving individuals facing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Many of our clients are involved in the county jail system, requiring a nuanced understanding of mental health challenges exacerbated by legal and social situations. Your expertise and compassion will make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist in California (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW).

• Demonstrated clinical assessment and diagnostic skills with a strong background in evidence-based therapy techniques.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and team members.

• A deep commitment to client welfare, exhibiting empathy and dedication in therapeutic engagements.

• Familiarity with mental health ethical standards and relevant laws.

Preferred Experience\n

Minimum of three years of experience in a mental health counseling capacity, particularly with populations that may be underserved or involved with the judicial system is preferred. Experience with telehealth platforms and digital therapy tools is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Brilliant Lotus Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
