This position allows for a remote work setting, enabling flexibility and convenience while maintaining regular business hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients experiencing mood disorders, understanding the severity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms.

• Collaborate effectively with clients to create personalized treatment plans that incorporate their specific needs and goals.

• Apply evidence-based therapeutic methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate improved mental health outcomes.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their mental health journey.

• Monitor clients’ progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Engage with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to promote integrated and holistic care for clients.

• Stay updated with the latest research in mental health to enhance therapeutic approaches and efficacy.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of assessment and treatment activities, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to refine your skills and remain informed of best practices in mood disorder treatment.

• Serve as an advocate for clients, working towards de-stigmatization of mental health issues and promoting understanding within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our Mental Health Counselor role primarily serves individuals navigating challenges related to mood disorders and anxiety. You will engage with a diverse population, from adolescents to adults, each requiring tailored therapeutic interventions to achieve improved mental health and emotional resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Tennessee is essential.

• Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for mood disorders, specifically CBT and DBT, is necessary.

• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology and the capacity to collaborate with psychiatrists in treatment planning and delivery is expected.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in a clinical setting with a focus on mood disorders is highly preferred. Proven success in implementing therapeutic interventions and measurable improvement in patient outcomes is essential. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote therapy best practices will be advantageous.
