2026-27 AY Lecturer Pool - Philosophy

Job Summary Part‑time Faculty Lecturer pool for the Philosophy Department, College of Arts and Letters, Cal State Los Angeles. Positions are filled by semester, beginning in the 2026‑2027 academic year, as academic need and budget allow. Responsibilities Teach assigned courses, prepare lessons, grade, and hold office hours. Participate in departmental meetings and professional development as required. Provide additional support to the department and college as directed. Minimum Qualifications MA or Ph.D. in Philosophy or a related field. Ability to work effectively in a multiethnic, multicultural academic environment. Demonstrated commitment to student‑centered learning and teaching. Proficiency in written and oral use of the English language. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with diverse populations and fostering inclusive classrooms. Relevant teaching or professional experience. Duties Deliver instruction and assess student work. Maintain scheduled office hours. Assist with departmental tasks as needed.
