Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive patient intakes and evaluations focused on diagnosing mental health conditions while collaborating with primary care providers to develop effective treatment plans.

• Provide brief, evidence-based interventions for patients presenting with a range of mental health needs, adapting your approach to individual circumstances.

• Regularly assess patient progress, initiating follow-up consultations to ensure suitability of ongoing treatment and making necessary adjustments to care plans.

• Work with primary care teams to identify and manage 'at-risk' patients, creating proactive strategies to prevent deterioration of mental health and psychosocial issues.

• Document treatment plans, patient progress, and therapeutic interventions clearly and accurately within the electronic health record system.

• Support patients in acquiring self-management skills, offering educational resources to empower them in their own recovery journey.

• Act as a clinical consultant to other health professionals in the agency, contributing to program evaluation and recommending areas for improvement.

• Maintain adherence to ethical standards and regulations, promoting a culture of professionalism within the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

We serve a diverse range of patients, which includes individuals facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. Many clients may have co-occurring physical health conditions that require a thoughtful and integrated approach. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will be integral in assessing these individuals’ needs and working collaboratively with them and other healthcare providers to create tailored treatment strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.

• Current and valid LPC license in the state of Texas.
\n
• Exceptional understanding of mental health assessments, treatment planning, and psychotherapeutic interventions based on DSM-IV diagnoses.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients from various backgrounds and facilitate open discussions around complex issues.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and clients alike.

Preferred Experience\n

While bi-lingual (English/Spanish) skills are preferred, they are not mandatory. Candidates with prior experience in community health settings or with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) are also strongly encouraged to apply, particularly those adept in crisis intervention and family therapy dynamics.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 87,000 to USD 105,000, based on experience and qualifications.
