Key Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Special Education teaching license (active and in good standing)
- Experience working with elementary and/or middle school resource programs
- Ability to manage individualized caseloads (approx. 10 elementary or 11 middle school students)
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with colleagues, staff, and families
- Dedicated to fostering an inclusive, adaptive learning atmosphere
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide resource support and specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general educators, support staff, and families to tailor instructional strategies
- Track student progress, maintain comprehensive records, and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth
Choose from two inviting locations: one based in a vibrant elementary school and another in an energetic middle school. Schedules run from 7:55 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. at the elementary level and from 7:35 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. at the middle school. Each position covers 35 hours per week, providing a structured yet supportive workweek. This contract runs from ASAP through June 10, 2027 (tentative), granting you the opportunity for lasting professional impact.
