Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide engaging psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, groups, couples, and families, utilizing best practices and therapeutic techniques appropriate for the school setting.

• Conduct comprehensive client interviews to gather in-depth social, personal, and environmental information, critical to formulating effective treatment plans.

• Assess and address a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, and life transitions, all while adhering to ethical guidelines and best practices.

• Design and implement programs and activities tailored to meet the diverse emotional and social needs of students, fostering resilience and coping skills.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions in cognitive, affective, and behavioral health, offering crisis intervention and referrals to additional community resources as needed.

• Establish trusting relationships with clients by fostering an environment of mutual respect and acceptance, making them feel safe to express their concerns.

• Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of treatment services, making necessary adjustments to care plans based on client feedback and progress.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in adherence to organizational protocols.

• Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring that documentation is current and that clients receive the highest standard of care.

• Offer one-on-one clinical counseling sessions to facilitate personal growth and development in students.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with school-aged children and adolescents, addressing a range of mental health issues including but not limited to stress management, coping with grief and loss, family dynamics, and the challenges of academic pressures. Your expertise will be vital in shaping their emotional well-being and supporting their overall development.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.

• Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida is required.

• A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in social work or a related field, demonstrating a deep understanding of mental health practices.

• Experience in counseling within the domains of behavioral health, particularly with issues such as depression, substance dependency, grief, and family conflict, is strongly preferred.

Valley of Hope offers a competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $104,000, supplemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
