Key Responsibilities\n

In this role, you will:

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify clients' mental health conditions, tailoring treatment plans based on individual needs.

• Provide evidence-based therapy services for individuals, groups, and families, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and more.

• Work collaboratively with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.

• Respond to crisis situations, providing immediate intervention and support to clients experiencing acute distress.

• Participate in community outreach programs to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma around seeking help.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to serve a diverse population within the Pasadena community. Our clients represent a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, often facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Understanding and addressing the unique cultural and socioeconomic factors influencing their mental health is paramount to providing effective therapeutic support.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must:

• Hold a current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• Possess a master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to establish trust and rapport with clients.

• Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity, effectively working with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Exhibit strong organizational and time-management skills, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the ideal candidate will also have experience in community mental health settings, familiarity with electronic health record systems, and a background in crisis intervention. Additional specialization in trauma-informed care or group therapy can be advantageous.
